Abstract. The article touches upon the problem of syncretism as dominant characteristic of modern dental terminology. The authors investigate the integrity of medical terms in the scientific metalanguage with the terms of other branches of professional knowledge, that technologically and pharmacologically provide dental theory and practice. The aspects of lexical-semantic and conceptual parity of dental terms in Ukrainian and English laaguages are also analyzed in the article.
