Abstract. The author analyzes the correlations of institutional status of society and culture that are found in the media intertext. Features of
media communication where verbalized reality motivates the mass consciousness and at the same time is motivated by this mass consciousness are also mentioned in the article. The integral approach
to media text is realized in the paradigm of linguistic knowledge.
